By celebrated Chef and restauranteur Marcus Samuelsson, Marcus DC blends modern American cooking with Black culinary traditions from DC to Ethiopia, and beyond. Inspired by heritage, the seasons, and a sense of place, the menu features mambo-sauced roast chicken, grilled whole bass, and dry-aged tomahawk steak. Swediopian, a dish of cured salmon, goldenberry broth, fennel and a teff crisp, mirrors Saumelsson's birthplace and the land where he was raised. Executive Chef Anthony Jones, a true Marlyander, brings his own story with dishes like Mel's Crab Rice with early summer mushroom, hot sauce pickled okra, and uni béarnaise, an ode to his favorite crab shack in Calvert County.
